Summertime is filled with fun activities. There are long hours spent by the pool and weekend trips to the lake with your family. You can spend afternoons and evenings playing sand volleyball at the park or ladder toss in your backyard. With all the activity done this season, you are certain to work up an appetite. There are plenty of great summer snacks and treats, but none quite screams summer like s’mores. These treats are scrumptious to have on camping trips and around a fire pit in your yard after a barbecue. Unfortunately, everyone does not have the ability to have a fire pit in their yard. Or what about those days when it is raining? You still want to enjoy the sweet taste of s’mores, but how when you have no way to make a fire? Sharmi’s Passions offers the perfect way to make s’mores with this s’more recipe the whole family will love. The good news? This recipe can be made right from the comfort of your kitchen.
Ingredients
- 8 Graham Crackers
- 12 small bars dark chocolate
- 12 small marshmallows
Thankfully, s’mores does not call for a lot of ingredients. Traditionally, s’mores uses milk chocolate, but this recipe from Sharmi’s Passions uses dark chocolate, which will give the s’mores a richer flavor. These days, there are a variety of marshmallows in the store, besides the traditional. There are extra fluffy marshmallows, stuffed marshmallows, flavored marshmallows like strawberry. Graham crackers are the standard, but there are chocolate graham crackers that can be used. Alternatively, you could use cookies in lieu of Graham crackers. The ingredients listed are used to make four s’mores. If you need to make more than four of these treats, then you will need to double or even triple the ingredients.

Baking Directions
Sharmi’s Passions offers two way to make your s’mores in the kitchen. There is the baking method or the stovetop method. The baking method may be the easiest as everyone does not have stove tops with burners. To begin, you will preheat your oven to 350 degrees F for about ten minutes. Place parchment paper on a baking tray. You will place four of the crackers onto the tray. Set three of the small chocolate bar pieces on each cracker. Next, you will place three of the small marshmallows onto the dark chocolate. Allow the marshmallows to have enough room to expand as they bake, so that they do not spill over. Bake the topped crackers after changing the oven to grill mode on 350 degrees F. You will grill the s’mores for about three to five minutes while keeping an eye on the s’mores. Once the marshmallows have toasted to the level that you want, you will remove the s’mores from the oven and top with the remaining crackers. They are now ready to serve!
