Easter Bunny Animal Cookie Ingredients
- 1/2 cup granulated white sugar
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 egg
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
Easter Bunny Animal Cookie Instructions

Cream 1 cup of butter (2 sticks) and 1/2 cup sugars with an electric beater.

Add 1 egg and 2 teaspoons vanilla, and mix well.

In a small bowl, combine your dry ingredients — 2 1/2 cup of flour, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.

Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredient.

Mix until thoroughly combined, and chill dough in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Roll out the cookie dough to 1/4″ thick, and cut with cookie cutters.

Bake on a lined cookie sheet for 7-10 minutes or until the cookies are lightly golden.

Traveling Easter Egg Hunt
If you’re traveling for your Easter Sunday celebration, you can have a fun Easter egg hunt with your kids along the way. Before your cookies disappear, hide a few in plastic eggs that you can tuck away inside your vehicle. There are several places inside the cabin that you can use as hiding spots.
- If you have a Kia Telluride, stick them in the multitude of cupholders scattered throughout the cabin.
- If you have an overhead sun-glass holder, you can place one there, as well.
- Use the center console to stash a few eggs.
- Secure one or two in your lockable glove compartment box.
To keep everyone safe and buckled in along the way, craft a list of hints and clues and make sure your kids can reach the eggs without getting out of they’re seat. You can allow an older child or adult to read the clues to younger children. Or, if you’re kids are proficient readers already, let them take turns reading the clues. The passenger nearest the egg will reveal it and hand it to the person who guessed correctly. The fun doesn’t have to stop when you reach your destination. If you packed a few weekender bags in your trunk or cargo area, stick a few cookie-filled eggs inside for your little ones to find while they unload.
