One is in Oliver Springs, while the other is in Maryville just outside of Alcoa. Roll Arena is owned by the Allen family, who has been in the skating business for several generations.
Why Take Your Kids Skating?
You may not think of skating when considering summer activities for your kids, but why not? Get out of the heat, and enjoy the cool air conditioning at the skating rink. You and your kids can groove to modern-day tunes or rock-n-roll classics as you roll around the rink. It is an excellent way to stay active, so you know your kids will burn off plenty of energy when they are at the Roll Arena. If you take them several times throughout the summer, then your kids can work on their speed and perfect any moves or turns they learn while at the rink.
If one of your children as a summer birthday, then the Roll Arena can be a great location for a birthday party. Depending on the package you select, the skating rink offers incredible packages that include skate rentals, a pizza party, ice cream, and more.
Hours of Operation & Rental Info
You can bring your kids to the Roll Arena Tuesdays through Sundays. The hours of operation vary by day, so make sure you check Roll Arena’s site to verify the time. Tuesdays through Thursdays, the arena is open from 1 to 4 pm in the afternoon. However, Tuesdays do have a night schedule of being opened from 6:30 to 9 pm. On the weekends, you can visit the Roll Arena from 7 to 10 pm on Friday, 2 to 10 pm on Saturdays, and 1 to 5 pm on Sundays. The prices of the time vary as well.
If you do not own your own skates, you certainly can rent them at Roll Arena. Traditional skates are three dollars. You can opt, however, for speed skates, which are five dollars to rent.
