St. Patrick’s Day is right around the corner! So, grab your shamrock pin, wear something green, and prepare to celebrate everything about Irish culture. And, don’t leave the little ones out of your festivities. Here’s a list of fun St. Patrick’s Day crafts you can do with your kids.
Leprechaun Crafts
- Make a Leprechaun Hat – This is a fun and easy craft you can do with your little ones. You’ll need an empty toilet paper roll and a few sheets of green and black construction paper. Once the hats are put together, you can use them as decoration or just let your kids have fun playing with them.
- Leprechaun Puppets – You’ll need a few more colors from your pack of construction paper to put this craft together. Grab green, tan, orange, yellow, and black paper. Then find a pair of scissors, googly eyes, a popsicle stick, and a black marker. Follow these instructions to put your little leprechaun puppet together.
- Leprechaun TP Roll – Using the same colors as the craft above and another recycled toilet paper roll, you can make a cute little leprechaun holding a pot of gold.
Rainbow Crafts
- End of the Rainbow Twirler – Start with letting your kids paint a paper plate all the colors of the rainbow. Then cut the plate into spirals, attach a pot-o-gold, and hang up this colorful rainbow twirler.
- Rainbow Wind Catcher – For this craft, collect a recycled paper-towel roll, multiple paint colors, floss, green paper, and ribbons. Have fun painting stripes of color around the paper-towel roll. Then attach a few ribbons and shamrocks, before hanging the rainbow windcatcher up as a decoration.

Shamrock Crafts
- Easy Shamrock Stamp: This may be the easiest craft you’ve ever completed. All you need is paper, green paint, and bell pepper. Just cut the top off of the bell pepper and let your little ones use dip it into the paint and stamp it onto the paper.
- Puffy Paint Shamrock: Make a fun textured paint with your little ones by mixing green food coloring, Elmer’s glue, and shaving cream. Then, uses it to paint a shamrock print-out.
