Get Some Wrap Buddies
Gift wrapping is easier — and more fun — with someone to help. But if there’s no one around you can grab a couple wrap buddies from your local hardware department or craft store. These handy little tools clip to the end of your table to help you hold down the wrapping paper. As a bonus they often double as a tape dispenser.
The Takashimaya Method
In 2014 the Japanese department store Takashimaya wowed us with their quick, efficient and paper-saving method of gift wrapping. The method only takes 12 seconds for experienced hands less than a minute once you’ve got the hang of it. If you have a ton of gifts to wrap it’ll be worth it to learn the origami based method of gift-wrapping.
Bag Clip Your Tape Edge
One of the biggest time drains during a gift-wrapping marathon is finding the edge of the tape. Even if you have a tape dispenser the tape edge can sometimes slip back onto the roll and get lost. To prevent that from happening you can use a bag clip, paper-clip, or anything small and flat that won’t be torn by the tape. Whenever you pull of a piece of tape just put your little edge-keeper back in place.
The Candy Method
This method is great for wrapping oddly shaped or soft gifts like blankets, clothes, or stuffed animals. It’s super easy and all you need is tissue paper, a roll of cellophane scissors and tape. Best of all, your wrapped gift will look like an adorably large hard candy.

Candy as a Bow
Not to be confused with the candy method, the candy as a bow method creates a gift that just keeps giving. Instead of using ribbon to embellish your gift, use some pretty yarn or string and a personal size bag of candy.
