Construction Paper Turkey Crafts
Construction paper turkeys make for awesome bulletin board projects at school. The feathers are the best part, so make sure you have various bright colors for the kids to choose from. Print out a turkey template too, so that they have the perfect turkey body to color in too.
Turkeys come in all shapes and sizes, with this awesome construction paper turkey your kids can make a small turkey or a really big one. The body is so simple, just cut two pieces of construction paper and roll them up. Voila, you have your turkey’s body. Then, cut and glue on some colorful paper feathers. A beak and some googly eyes should be the perfect last step.
Leaf Turkey
With fall comes the beautiful changing of the leaves, and with all the colors, leaves make for the best turkey feathers for this craft. Use the same body template as the first craft and simply have the little ones each for their favorite-colored leaves.
Handprint Turkey
This one is definitely a Thanksgiving favorite. Have the kiddos trace their hands, paint on some lovely feathers, and then, glue on the face. It’s as simple as that and you could have a great tribe of turkeys, or the perfect dinner table place holder by attaching the name and using clothespins as feet.
Paper Plate Turkey
Do you still have those googly eyes on hand? Good, you’ll need them for this plump paper plate turkey. The kids will want to paint their paper plate brown. Next, have them trace their little hands on colored construction paper for a total of six hands. Then, glue the hangs to the back of the paper plate. Lastly, make a face for your turkey with googly eyes and paper.
