Smoky Mountain Axe House opened in 2019 to bring the thrilling competition of axe throwing to the Blount County community. The veteran-owned business was designed to offer this unique and engaging sport in a family-friendly environment, and its onsite coaches are standing by to help every guest perfect their technique and pursue the thrill of their next bullseye. Smoky Mountain features five regulation axe throwing lanes built to facilitate the sport in a safe, league-ready setting, and once you’ve learned the basics and enjoyed a few sessions, the coaches can even show you a variety of different axe throwing games for a different and challenging experience.

Join the League

Smoky Mountain Axe House is a part of the World Axe Throwing League, and you can talk to the team if you’re interested in participating. If you fall in love with the sport and you’d really like to put your skills to the test, keep in mind that Smoky Mountain offers four seasonal leagues for all the region’s aspiring lumberjacks.

Be Prepared

When you want to engage in a kinetic sport like axe throwing, it’s important to come prepared for what the activity requires. Be sure to dress right for the action, and leave loose accessories and bulky apparel at home since you’ll want your movement to be as unrestricted as possible. The right footwear is also important, so make sure to wear closed toed shoes that fit well. a comfortable pair of running shoes or tennis shoes would serve you well at the lanes. If your youngest party members are too young to handle the regular axes, then Smokey Mountain Axe House can keep them involved in the fun with their own cardboard axes and targets.

If you’re ready to start throwing, you can book your session online. Smoky Mountain has booking options for one-hour sessions, two-hour sessions, and large groups of 15 people or more. If you’re looking for the perfect gift for the lumberjack in your life, you can even purchase a gift card to Smokey Mountain with the value of your choice.
